Responsibilities:
- Patient Intake and Scheduling:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone.
- Efficiently schedule appointments according to physician availability, patient needs, and insurance requirements.
- Gather accurate patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring data integrity within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and communicate any potential coverage issues clearly and proactively.
- Send appointment confirmations and reminders via phone, email, or text message.
- Patient Care and Communication:
- Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Answer patient questions regarding appointments, billing, and insurance in a courteous and informative way.
- Effectively triage incoming calls, directing inquiries to appropriate staff members.
- Manage patient flow in the waiting room, minimizing wait times and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments according to established procedures.
- Administrative Tasks and Support:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system.
- Manage the front desk efficiently, including filing, faxing, and data entry.
- Support other clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, fostering a professional atmosphere.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service or healthcare environment (preferred).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EHR software a plus.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and manage time efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive and professional demeanor with a focus on exceeding patient expectations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Starting at $20.00 per hour*

The pay scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
