Benchmark International is looking for driven students to serve as summer or single semester interns within its Strategic Partnership team. The Intern will help with data entry and assist the director with analyzing, summarizing, and discussing financial data of potential clients. In addition, the Intern will assist in compiling key attributes such as company ownership, size of the employee base, and other corporate documents. The Intern will interact in a professional setting, including speaking with potential clients. Benchmark will work with you to determine your hourly commitment to the internship, but the minimum involvement will be for 10 hours per week, on a regularly scheduled basis, for a period of at least 8 weeks. Job Responsibilities As an Intern, you will act under the instruction of Benchmark International’s experienced Strategic Partnership Director. Your specific duties as an Intern will include: Assist in adding data to our proprietary database and helping with conducting marketing strategies. In-depth research of companies focusing on appropriate ownership and contact details by cross-referencing corporate records and websites. Analyze corporate records to understand the financial health of a company. Assist in contacting potential sellers and strategic partners, inviting them to a meeting with Benchmark International. Prepare data lists of professional advisors and assist in contacting those advisors. Help to create invitation techniques. File and keep Benchmark International’s networked customer resource management system up to date for all of the above. Compile data using proprietary databases. Communicate effectively with the team to ensure the appropriate data is delivered in a timely fashion. Research industries and M&A market segments as needed. Prepare reports of findings, illustrate data graphically, and translate complex findings into written text. Abide by all Benchmark International policies.

Job Requirements As an Intern, you must be highly energetic and passionate individual with a positive and highly motivated ‘can do’ attitude. You must have the strong desire and ambition to succeed in this hugely rewarding industry. It is also vital for your role as an Intern that you possess excellent verbal and written communication, analytic, mathematical, and interpersonal skills, as well as presentation abilities.

Specific qualifications for our Intern position include: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Prioritization and organization skills. Proficient with online research. Capable of professional business writing. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; delivering information in an empathetic, yet persuasive manner. Commercial understanding and awareness of business. Possess a valid and current driver’s license. No previous involuntary surrender of a real estate license in any state. No personal history of enforcement actions by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA, or any state securities regulatory bodies. Working toward bachelor’s or master’s degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting at an accredited university or college. Must be able to work in-office as this is not a remote or hybrid position. Benefits The position will give you detailed insights to a career in mergers and acquisitions. Work will be performed on an hourly basis at $12.00 per hour. In addition, Benchmark will work with you to secure academic credit if available, should you desire. This is a non-exempt position and overtime will be paid at statutory rates as required by applicable law; however, Interns typically work less than 40 hours per week and, as a result, overtime and overtime pay should not be expected.
