Enrollment Technician

As an Enrollment Technician with BCBSWY you will ensure that member information is added and maintained on our system accurately, and in a timely manner. This may include adding new members, processing terminations, and making updates to member demographic information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers.

You will be a critical part of our dynamic team by becoming familiar with the eligibility rules across multiple types of business, as well as with applicable State and Federal guidelines pertaining to insurance membership. As a front facing ambassador of BCBSWY, you will correspond in writing, via telephone, and through e-mail with salespeople, clients, vendors, other internal departments, and applicants regarding eligibility, incomplete applications/changes, and other enrollment questions.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of legal and contractual language, and the ability to use computers and associated software programs.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and one to two years of office experience. Prior insurance experience is preferred.

Additional accountabilities include processing HIPAA release of information forms, updating coordination of benefit details, ordering and validating member ID cards, logging returned mail, preparing documentation for scanning, and quality control of enrollment updates.

Our positions are all based in Wyoming. Depending on the department and the position, eligible employees may be offered limited In-Office/WFH flexibility (for those positions that are offered limited WFH, there will be a required number of In-Office days per week/month depending on department). Executive level employees are required to reside full-time in Wyoming.

  • Confirmation of Wyoming residency, intent to become a Wyoming resident, or reasonable commuter distance if Colorado resident.

  • Initial interview with Hiring Manager.
  • Possible 2nd Interview with Hiring Manager and/or additional Team members.
  • Comprehensive Background Check.
