The Staff Accountant:
- Acts as a Finance Lead for a group of accounts, answering questions, and providing assistance as needed.
- Records day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Processes accounts payable for their accounts.
- Creates client invoices.
- Reconciles meal plan accounts on a weekly basis between point of sales (POS) systems and the General Ledger.
- Sends out client monthly aging reports.
- Reconciles General Ledger accounts at month end.
- Researches variances between monthly P&L and unit operating reports.
- Communicates with unit management when there is inaccurate reporting.
- Provides training to new unit managers and administrative assistants.
