Manager Strategic Sourcing EU

Your Responsibilities
Definition and further development of the global commodity group strategy in a team with R&D, quality management and operational purchasing
Responsibility for the strategic procurement of production materials for the various plants
Review and further development of existing as well as selection and qualification of new suppliers and partners (supplier management)
Identification of optimisation potentials also through bundling of requirements, standardisation and creation of synergies
Drive and realize cost reduction initiatives/projects
Price and contract negotiations with suppliers
Continuous observation and analysis of global trends in the procurement markets
Optimisation of purchased parts through innovative impulses from key suppliers (early involvement in the product development process)
Our Requirements
Completed commercial/technical bachelor studies
Technical background or some years in technical sourcing experience
Several years of relevant professional experience as a strategic buyer / lead buyer for production materials in a global industrial company
Hands-on mentality
Sound knowledge of national and international contract law as well as negotiation methods
Good user skills in MS Office and SAP
Quality awareness, affinity for technology and production as well as entrepreneurial thinking and acting
Confident appearance, very good moderation and negotiation skills as well as excellent communication skills at all levels
Intercultural competence, high willingness to travel as well as business fluent German and English skills
