Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform a variety of complex tasks to accomplish specific project and general accounting requirements as outlined by internal processes and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance sheet, P&L, and bank statements Manage A/P and all payments and expenses owed by the company to suppliers/creditors Generate and accurately process monthly billings in a timely manner to meet client deadlines Assist in managing the A/R collections of payments due to the company Develop and maintain project budgets and forecasts in collaboration with project managers Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and identify areas for improvement and implementation of best practices Assisting with the annual audits and audit working papers Prepare financial reports & analysis, which includes project cost reports and other ad-hoc projects Sale & Use Tax, Corporate Tax Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 5 years of experience in Public Accounting or as a Sr. Accountant/Sr. Project Accountant for mid/large sized company Intermediate Excel proficiency Experience with Deltek or similar ERP Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Experience in the following areas: General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Job Costing Payroll (a plus, but not necessary) Construction Industry background preferred Reconciling bank statements and the general ledger Assisting with audits and audits working papers Prepare financial reports & analysis Sale & Use Tax, Corporate Tax Experience with Deltek or similar ERP BE CHALLENGED, BE INSPIRED.
