POSITION: Junior Recruiter, Temporary Division

LOCATION: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days in-office/2 remote)

SCHEDULE: 8:30AM-5:30PM

SALARY: $48,000 + promotion potential within 6 months

REPORTS TO: Director of Talent Acquisition

Is This Your Dream Job? As a Junior Recruiter, you'll join our Temporary Staffing Division under the guidance of our Director of Talent Acquisition. This role is intended to be a growth-tract opportunity for someone eager to learn the recruitment professional. Promotion into a Recruiter role is expected within 6 months, if all recruiting and performance goals are met within that timeframe.

The Junior Recruiter will immerse themselves in the local community to cultivate talent pools of nonprofit professionals seeking temporary opportunities. This entails extensive networking, face-to-face meetings, interviewing, sourcing, and providing recommendations to our Recruiters for open positions. Additionally, you will gain valuable insights into the recruiting profession, staffing industry, client services, and administrative tasks.

This role caters to individuals with minimal recruitment experience and a passion for nonprofits, who thrive in dynamic environments, set and achieve goals, and have a growth mindset.

Our Ideal Candidate:
•Prior office experience required (internships included)
•Experience working in a fast-paced or production-based environment preferred
•Nonprofit experience preferred
•People-person who has excellent written and verbal communication skills
•A positive attitude, curious and receptive to feedback
•Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
•Accountable, responsible, and not afraid to ask questions
•Ability to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) and attend in-person events outside of regular business hours
•Basic skills in MS Office Suite required

How You Will Spend Your Day:
•Attending local events to network with nonprofit job-seekers including job fairs, happy hours, lunch and learns, coffee meet ups, etc
•Screening general talent for the local candidate pool including phone screens and formal in-person interviews
•Gain mastery for general recruitment and how to show value to candidates, without immediate job orders open to discuss
•Make candidate recommendations to Recruiters on their open orders based on those general interviews
•Utilize tools to locate and encourage new talent to apply
•Process talent in the database to include proper coding, sending out job descriptions, etc
•Assist with organizing candidate-focused events, including Open Houses and Career Mapping workshops
•Take on additional projects under the direction of the Director of Talent Acquisition
