Ambitionen är att ta kaffet ut i vida världen så fler kaffeälskare kan få ta del av våra enastående produkter Världen är ganska stor :) - just nu är fokus Tyskland, Holland, Österrike, Schweiz och USA. Jag har många olika arbetsuppgifter på mitt bord men allt syftar till att skapa affärer på nya marknader och där är nätverkande med distributörer och potentiella kunder centralt för yrkesrollen.”

Vilka egenskaper är bra att ha i ditt yrke? ”Jag har arbetat med export i 20 år och under min karriär har jag lärt mig att vara en generalist, spindeln i nätet, nyfiken på annorlunda marknader och kulturer. För att hitta in på nya marknader måste man ha ett "open mind" men samtidigt hög kapacitet att kunna prioritera. Det är många trådar som måste plockas upp men få som leder hela vägen i mål. Du ska kunna skanna av behovet på en marknad för att tidigt kunna bedöma om det är något du kan möta med ditt erbjudande. Adaption är alltid en faktor. På produktnivå kan det gälla olika certifikat, språk naturligtvis, produktnamn, förpackningsstorlekar, märkningsregler och lokala regler för BBD (best before date). Det skadar inte heller att ha ett tredjespråk i bakfickan och ett gott språköra. Engelskan är såklart nummer ett inom global business, men på den lokala marknaden kan man ganska snabbt komma fram till kontaktpersoner/forum där engelskan inte alls är så självklar. Då uppskattas det mycket om man som utomstående kan visa intresse och förmåga för det lokala språket.”

Vad brinner du extra mycket för i din roll? ”The business of people Mitt jobb är socialt och rörligt med många kontakter, kulturer och marknader. Det rör sig alltid på någon marknad och att hålla möjligheterna öppna är en utmaning som kräver tajming - en utmaning jag gillar Sedan älskar jag våra produkter och vårt varumärke. Det är en härlig kategori att jobba inom, en kategori där det ryms många smaker och stilar, många olika försäljningskanaler samt att de flesta människor kan relatera till kaffe på ett eller annat sätt.”

Vad är det bästa med att jobba som Export Manager på just Arvid Nordquist?

” Det är en ynnest, och ofta fördel, att jobba med ett kaffe som är så långt fram inom hållbarhet i hela värdekedjan.

Arvid Nordquist är ett familjeföretag och jag tycker det märks i arbetsvardagen och atmosfären. Det är inte typiskt "corporate" här och det är något jag trivs med.

Vi är förutom kaffeproducent också distributörs- och säljbolag i Norden med många globala varumärken i portföljen. Det gör oss till ett ganska stort företag med många olika roller och kanaler. Trots det finns "den lilla känslan i det stora bolaget" eller hur jag nu ska uttrycka det.

Kaffet. Vi gör enastående bra kaffe och det är såklart en bonus att det finns även i arbetsvardagen och inte bara i businessportföljen.”
