We are seeking an experienced and committed Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative organization. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting the Communications Team in the planning, development, and implementation of marketing and communications efforts. This role predominately focuses on social media marketing and content curation for the organization. The Marketing Specialist reports to the Chief Communications & Community Engagement Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the agency’s social media platforms and implementation of new and creative social media strategies to improve the agency’s reputation and recognition.
Responsible for upkeep of internal communication materials throughout the facility (digital monitors, signage, internal newsletter, etc.).
Serve as point person in managing agency giveaways and conference display materials.
Assist the Communications Team in content curation for digital and print elements including newsletter and blog articles, email marketing campaigns, external website content, informational brochures, and more.
Craft compelling copy for the organization's website, highlighting services, achievements, and stories
Research and curate content for news articles, blogs and email marketing campaigns
Maintain brand standards and best practices under the direction of the Chief Communications & Community Engagement Officer
Collaborate with team members to understand project needs and objectives
Manage social media profiles, including content scheduling and interaction with followers
Monitor social media and review sites, responding to comments and inquiries as needed
Analyze social media and campaign performance data to improve KPIs
Provide regular reports and analytics on social media and content performance
Stay updated on emerging social platforms and trends
Create and implement engagement content and opportunities across social media channels
Complete other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Complete training necessary to perform position and necessary for professional growth.
Facilitate a team atmosphere by working in partnership with other agency staff and promote a positive working environment.
Represent the agency and programs in a positive manner to clients, community organizations, and the public in general.
Requirements
Education and Training
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design or other relevant field.
Work Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing/communications/graphic design.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Proficient in creating and distributing social media content on various social media platforms.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Canva
Experience using email communications platforms such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated, needing little supervision.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in non-profit community-based organization preferred.
Excellent writing and grammar skills
Strong research and fact-checking abilities
2+ years of experience in social services, marketing, or non-profit organizations
Advanced knowledge of AP Style
Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms
Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Other
Must be willing to work flexible hours, with occasional evenings and weekends.
Must submit to a thorough criminal history background check.
Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Position may involve some travel, primarily within the state.
