About The Role A successful Senior Consultant is confident in an entrepreneurial environment and is able to work independently while demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail. Candidates must be able to build strong relationships with colleagues, adapt easily to differing work styles and be open to alternate points of view to improve work processes, solve client needs and contribute to firm development, as applicable. As a part of the Crisis & Litigation Communications team, this role requires a demonstrated sense of urgency and responsiveness to client needs in a high-performing environment. What You’ll Do As a Senior Consultant you will work across FTI Consulting Crisis & Litigation communications offerings, including litigation, complex issues management, government investigations, employment issues, operational incidents, cybersecurity & data privacy, and crisis preparedness. You will supervise research, help develop messaging and communications materials, gain exceptional project management skills, and collaborate with colleagues in other practice areas and geographies to address client challenges. Additionally, you will support strategy development and new business pursuits. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business and industry Perform detailed and accurate research to underpin all client projects and deliverables Support client teams to deliver high quality work that achieves business objectives Draft client materials, such as internal communications, stakeholder messaging and presentations under the direction of senior team members Contribute to the development of strategic project plans for client programs Anticipate client needs and concerns and proactively work with senior leaders to address them Provide strong project management support to ensure on-time delivery aligned with broader project plans Provide tactical support to team members as needed, including conducting research for new business pitches, etc. Work with colleagues to produce new business pitch materials Support the development of new offerings that address needs in the market Foster new talent development, establishing mentoring relationships with junior team members Demonstrate a high level of integrity and asks the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly How You’ll Grow Direct access to leadership with defined long-term career planning will ensure you continue to develop your skills as a communications and change management practitioner. This position also allows the unique opportunity to partner with internal teams in various specialty areas to tackle a myriad of high visibility client challenges across industries. What You Will Need to Succeed Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant business field 2+ years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing and/or change management Experience with crises, financial transactions, restructuring, business transformation and/or other high-intensity work requiring a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Proven project management skills and the developed ability to multi-task effectively (e.g., managing priorities between multiple client assignments) Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s) as needed Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills Ability to stay well organized, meet deadlines and manage time effectively Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel A high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information About FTI Consulting FTI Consulting is a global business advisory firm dedicated to helping clients with their most significant opportunities and challenges.
