Electrical Team Member

Reports to: Electrical Department Manager

Department: Electrical

Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly

Mobility Profile: None

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, reliable team player that can add value to our Electrical Department. The Electrical Team Member will be responsible for the layout and wiring of electrical circuits, wiring of electrical panels, switches, light fixtures, receptacles, and electrical testing and troubleshooting.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Read work orders and prints.
  • Pull and stage materials for department.
  • Operate various hand tools, power tools and equipment used to complete duties including:
    • Utility Knife
    • Pneumatic Nail Gun (roofing, framing and finish work)
    • Hand Drills
    • Hand tools
  • Rough out circuits according to prints.
  • Layout wiring for recessed lighting.
  • Walk on rafters to layout electrical.
  • Wire switches and plugs.
  • Conduct electrical testing.
  • Assist other departments as needed by production's schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Department Manager/Production Mangers
  • Continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment while at the location.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED), required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge / Experience within the Manufactured Homes or Construction industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Experience with Power tools and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Ability to distinguish different colors.
  • Analytical skills, ability to solve problems and/or offer alternative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends to meet production schedules.
Salary:
  • $25 per hour
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
  • Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
  • Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Work primarily involves standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
