  • Essential Functions: Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both physical and electronic.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
  • Ownership of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Compliance: Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Month- end and year- end closing: Assist in the month- end and year- end closing procedures and reporting.
  • Owns the general accounting function including direction and oversight of all processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting.
  • Maintains and manages fixed asset registry.
  • Assists with external auditors and taxes.
  • Help manage/implement/report on key performance indicators for operations and sales.
  • Serves as a trusted internal business partner to operations, sales, marketing, and customer service leaders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting roles is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing Company is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years of combined public accounting and private industry accounting experience highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is desirable.
  • Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify errors or discrepancies, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (specifically accounting modules) required. QuickBooks and Acctivate experience would be a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Positive 'can do' mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small company environment.
