This position offers a remarkable chance to become a vital part of the New Charter Technologies Corporate Accounting team amid the rapid expansion and scaling of the organization. We are in search of a Senior Staff Accountant who will oversee all facets of the department's comprehensive accounting cycle, which includes crafting journal entries and variance analyses, executing account reconciliations, addressing issues, and participating in special projects as required throughout the month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete accounting cycle and month-end closing processes by ensuring timely and precise recording of transactions.
- Prepare journal entries for all accounting-related activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaid expenses, intercompany transactions, and month-end accruals.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts in alignment with Corporate Policies and Procedures.
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller to investigate and clarify variances against forecasts and budgets.
- Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles in company accounting practices.
- Drive process enhancements and lead innovative accounting transformation initiatives to foster scalability, efficiency, and productivity.
- Assist with year-end audits and manage requests from external auditors.
- Support management in M&A-related projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is essential.
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end closing processes, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply these principles to specific scenarios.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate-level skills in Excel for analytical tasks using pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, NetSuite, or QuickBooks is mandatory.
- A positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and solution-focused mindset.
- Excellent analytical abilities and capacity to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with senior and executive leadership.
