Description

The Human Resources Generalist ("HRG") is responsible for the daily functions of the People Operations (POPS) department and works closely with employees at all levels. The HRG carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, compensation, benefits, leaves/accommodations, employee relations, candidate experience, policy interpretation, and compliance/reporting. This role partners with operations to promote a safe workplace.

DGH is a leading manufacturer of technical textiles, fabrics and yarns used in the appliance industry, industrial markets, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Essential Functions:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Serve as a Paylocity Subject Matter Expert. Maintain the HRIS, leveraging automation whenever possible.
  • Accurately process the biweekly US, multi-state payroll.
  • Assist with administration of the Company's compensation philosophy.
  • Oversee all Davlyn benefit programs to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all benefits and services. Completes required documentation to meet legal and compliance requirements. Maintain comprehensive and detailed records for all programs. Maintain legal plan documents, files, reports and employee documentation.
  • Prepare and organize communications related to the insurance plans and coordinate open enrollment meetings, including presentations, employee-facing documents and benefit year updates in Paylocity.
  • Process all benefit provider invoices, including allocations, auditing and partnering with the medical broker to resolve any errors.
  • Manage all leaves of absences and accommodations, including documentation, notices, recording of leave hours, benefit payments and monitoring the status of all active leaves and accommodations. Guide employees through the leave request process, when necessary.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience. Assist with the coordination of interviews and assessment testing. Oversee the Onboarding process to include the launch of events and providing support to incoming employees. Maintains Recruiting and Onboarding modules.
  • Assist with employee engagement, including announcements, performance management, recognition and activities.
  • Processes and monitors all workers' compensation claims. Act as the internal case coordinator and conduct follow up with employees, management, physicians and the WC carrier.
  • Act as first point of contact for day-to-day employee relations matters, supporting employees and managers alike.
  • Provide guidance/policy interpretation to employees, supervisors and management, prioritizing requests based on urgency/sensitivity.
  • Respond to all employment-related requests (unemployment, verifications, garnishments, etc.).
  • Provide additional support to the Director, People Operations as needed.
Requirements

Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in HR in a generalist capacity
  • 4-year degree in Human Resources or a similar field of study
  • SHRM-CP, PHR and/or APA certifications a plus
  • Prior Paylocity experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Experience administering employee benefits
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment labor law and regulations
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities but must have the capability to influence.
Travel:
  • Must be able to work at both our Norristown and Spring City, PA locations.
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel to Independence, VA
