Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols, working cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, delivering excellent customer service and adhering to Lean processes, and supporting the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals. Hours: This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Monday through Friday, an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:45 am to 5:00 pm. The supervisor will determine the schedule. You may be asked to float to other practices as needed. Location: 4750 W Oakey Blvd. Suite 2A, Las Vegas, NV 89012 Primary Responsibilities: Provide exceptional service to all customers Greet patients and check patients in and out. Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct in IDX and updated as necessary Collect appropriate co-pays and adhere to all cash handling policies Schedule appointments as necessary, verifying correct visit type and primary care provider Manage waiting room cleanliness, communicate pertinent information to patients and ensure all patients have been assisted Work with back-office staff to ensure smooth patient flow Resolve service issues and complaints, and defer to appropriate management or clinical personnel when necessary Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, including but not limited to, floating to other areas Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher) BLS certified (or able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire) 1+ years of healthcare or customer service experience Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Independent means of transportation and the ability to travel 10% of the time during work hours for job related tasks Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a health care setting 1+ years of experience with insurance programs and basic managed care principles such as referrals and prior authorization Knowledge/understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding Experience working with an electronic health record Medical office setting experience Knowledge of medical terminology Soft Skills: Ability to multi-task Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour.
