Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key agency stakeholders to identify data needs
  • Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational and administrative processes, data collection, reporting and analytics.
  • Serve as the facilitator of data governance committee
  • Keep abreast of the IT, healthcare and billing/accounts receivable industries to maintain sufficient knowledge to meet end user and agency requirements
  • Supervise assigned IT staff members, including hiring, discipline and performance management activities
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of administrative policies and procedures required for effective billing and collection processes
  • Serve as key member of the project team responsible for the design and implementation, upgrades and improvements to software systems including the electronic medical record, billing platform, data analytics, accounting, HMIS, recruiting and other related software
  • Develop and monitor IT performance targets, ensuring that the timelines and budgets are met for IT based projects and deliverables
  • Provide direction, oversight and assistance to IT staff, specifically the Applications Support and Reporting Team to ensure support policies, procedures and tools are followed
  • Provide assistance and expertise to the Billing Team, to ensure that appropriate policies, procedures and tools are used correctly and effectively
  • Follow all security protocols when accessing confidential information on the Agency database
  • Participate in on-call technical support rotation
Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in the healthcare and/or information technology field
  • Experience with provider-based healthcare applications and data strategy and structure
  • Data strategy to include data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems
  • Project Management certification/experience preferred
