We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer - Sr. MDM to join our team at NiSource. - Implement data engineering strategies for complex projects from beginning to end.
- Design and deploy highly reliable, scalable, and timely data products.
- Effectively communicate data engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide system analysis, design, development, and testing.
- Identify and resolve data anomalies and gaps in collaboration with the Data Quality team.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes.
- Optimize query performance for scalability and efficiency.
- Create, manage, and optimize data pipelines for timely and accurate data processing and delivery.
- Develop and implement match and merge rules, trust matrices, and match paths.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
- 3+ years of experience building and optimizing big-data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
- 3+ years of experience with Python and related big-data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing cloud data products in platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, GCP.
- Experience with both relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores.
- Experience with containerization and microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Linux and Unix.
