You will join our Water & Wastewater Team in our Water Market department As our new project engineer, you will be part of a growing team of project management experts working toward progressing complex engineering and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) water projects. Although the team has two central offices (Arlington, VA and Nashville, TN), Ramboll is open to expanding our team in Chicago, IL. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include: Performing the project/field engineering roles and responsibilities to assist in the development, planning, execution, and close-out for projects. Developing project management skills including client development, proposal writing, contracting, project accounting, progress reporting with clients, risk mitigation, change management, procurement, and close-out. Performing as a field engineer to assist the construction management team in assessing quality of construction, assisting with change management, coordinating between the design engineers and the field-execution team, tracking progress in the field, and answering Requests for Information (RFIs). Participating in routine client and site visits aligned with Ramboll’s Water strategy. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field 2+ years of engineering and/or project management experience Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) desired Travel required to projects and client sites/offices as needed (~10%) Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Being a confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills Being organized and detail-oriented; one who thrives working independently and on a team Having leadership qualities driving for client and project team satisfaction Welcome to our Water division At Ramboll, a global team of bright water consultants support the development of sustainable societies, working with water projects on a global scale.
