You will join our Water Team As our new Project Engineer, you will be part of our team responsible for the assessment, design, and rehabilitation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal clients in the Mid-Atlantic Region (Virginia, Maryland, and District of Columbia). Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Working effectively in a team setting and directly communicating with internal stakeholders (e.g., project manager, subject matter expert, project team) and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, subcontractors, contractors) Executing engineering design tasks of varying complexities and development of design drawings, technical specifications, and front-end contractual documents of water and wastewater projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region Preparing technical reports Participating in the quality review process of work products developed by early career engineers and coordinating the work of other engineering disciplines into final design Training and mentoring early career engineers Leading smaller, less complex projects and/or individual project tasks Providing support for construction projects, including cost estimating, construction phasing/ scheduling, site inspections, punch list development and review of shop drawings Actively engaging in professional societies Your starting point for constant growth From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Technical proficiency in water and wastewater infrastructure design (5+ years’ experience in the engineering/design field desired; demonstrated expertise accepted). Specific experience in designing water distribution and transmission mains, sewage gravity systems and force mains, and pumping stations is preferred. Water Storage design experience is preferred, but not required. NASSCO PACP/LACP/MACP certification is preferred. Mastered engineering fundamentals. B.S. Civil/Environmental Engineering.
