Essential Job Functions
  • Troubleshoot worn or damaged mold components to diagnose problems for repair
  • Reading and handling fine-measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and gauges
  • Use PM software to track mold run time and schedule PMs and repairs
  • Ability to understand complex mold assemblies to direct others in the assembly and disassembly of molds
  • Disassemble, clean, lubricate necessary components, and reassemble molds
  • Perform mold insert changes in the press
  • Handle tools, equipment, and molds safely
  • Follows all plant safety rules.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Lock out/Tag out, etc.
  • Assist the Mold Maker in the Assembly and Disassembly of molds as needed
  • Fosters positive working relationships
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • At least 10 years working with Plastic Injection Molds.
  • Operate manual machine tools, mill, lathe, and surface grinders.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Own personal hand tools.
  • Basic shop math skills.
  • Safety Conscious.
  • Must be forklift certified or ability to become certified.
  • Career-minded & dedicated.
  • Positive, cheerful, "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to follow directions and work harmoniously with supervisors.
  • Self-starter, good communication skills, and dependable, on-time attendance.
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
