Your Role and Responsibilities

Main Objective of the Position:

Support the local Toolmaker (or take responsibility in their absence) in mold shop functions, which encompass mold cleaning, inspection, maintenance, repairs, and managing inventory of all mold-related spare components.

Main Duties:
  • Mold Maintenance
    • Cleaning Procedures
    • Inspection Protocols
    • Preventative Maintenance Strategies
    • Documentation Practices
  • Machining Tasks
    • Collaborate with the local Toolmaker in modifying and repairing components as necessary
      • Sandblasting molds and Blow Pin Tips
      • Sharpening cutting rings and stitch knives
      • Report any damaged equipment to the Toolmaker or Production Manager
Assist the local Toolmaker (or take charge in their absence):
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain up-to-date records of all mold-related drawings
    • Keep accurate counts of all mold-related spare parts
    • Order spare or replacement components as required
  • Collaborate closely with Production Planners to synchronize toolroom activities and mold readiness with overall production objectives through mold maintenance efforts
  • Act as a liaison between the plant and external mold suppliers
    • Provide necessary documentation
    • Serve as the primary contact for the technical department
  • Ensure effective communication with the NOAM Mold Specialists regarding all mold-related issues

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate forklifts
