Expected hours of work per week: 10-20

Work Location & Hours: Gym Laundry Room; Mon- Sat 8am-10pm

Purpose of the position: Wash all laundry for the athletic department in a timely and accurate manner

Qualifications for Position:
  1. An understanding of how to do laundry
  2. A working knowledge of how to identify and distinguish various athletic uniforms
  3. Accuracy and attention to detail very important
  4. Must be current or incoming freshmen Covenant Student
  5. Schedule is flexible, but must be available to work morning and evening shifts at least 1-2 times a week.
Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that all the laundry is done each night before the gym is closed
  2. Ensure that all uniforms that are worn in games are hung up to dry
  3. Make sure there are pink towels available at all times
  4. Fold all towels and place them in their assigned locations
  5. Keep the laundry room organized and clean
  6. Various tasks assigned by supervisor
  7. Night and weekend work may be required
  8. Closely follow handbook and complete checklist

Work Environment

This job operates in a laundry room and uses washing machines and dryers.

Physical Demands

Sitting: Remaining in the seated position

Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) 25-50 lbs.

Power washing: Uniforms in the spring season must be power washed. Students must be comfortable with operating equipment. Additional training will be provided.

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or to the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
