Required Job Specific Competencies:

  • Demonstrates skills in customer service, communication and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates skill in communicating with payer representatives and associates throughout the Southern Region Health System.
  • Demonstrates skills in communication and prioritizing assignments.
  • Demonstrates understanding of third-party payer regulations for enrollment of qualified medical professionals. Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with all department team members, regional system departments, regional medical staff offices, and payer provider representatives.
  • Must ensure confidentiality and integrity of all data.
Qualifications:
  • Energetic individual who demonstrates ability to work both independently as well as with multiple teams of individuals. Individual must be meticulous. A willingness to learn is necessary, Confidentiality of all information is imperative.
Education:
  • Associate degree or 2 years work related experience in health care billing required
  • Professional billing experience preferred
Experience:
  • 2 years of previous medical billing experience preferred or related insurance experience
  • Excellent customer relations and communications skills
  • Skills in using computers including Excel, Word, Box, Teams, and internet use required
  • Working knowledge if third party payers
  • Excellent Attention to detail


Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.00

Starting Rate: Based on experience
