Job Duties:

Follow best practice accounting principles in supervision of accounts receivable and payable functions; attempt resolution of issues for more complex transactions Complete month end closing procedures to include account reconciliations and review of transactions Manage weekly payroll processes; liaise with payroll vendor regarding programmatic issues; implement and communicate improvements Coordinate internal and external audit preparation Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed Assist as backup for all areas in the office as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years experience in a finance or accounting role Bachelors degree in accounting or business related field RV or automotive industry experience preferred but not required Prior experience leading and managing a team Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position supervises the office accounting team and the payroll positions. Responsibilities include making hiring recommendations; instructing and training in work methods; planning, scheduling and assigning work; checking and approving work; evaluating performance; and recommending disciplinary actions regarding unsatisfactory employees.

Competencies:

Excellent knowledge of best practice accounting principles Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under time sensitive deadlines Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and acute listening skills, and ability to show empathy Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions Ability to exhibit discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and to earn trust of others
