We have been hired to find an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager for a metal fabrication manufacturing facility in southeast Minnesota. The main responsibilities include ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment. The role requires experience in safety and health within an industrial setting. The manager will be responsible for writing and revising policy for 2 facilities with a total headcount of around 275 or more. The compensation for this job can go up to $105k, depending on experience, along with benefits. The company is also willing to provide relocation assistance to the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Managing environmental permits and reporting (air emissions, waste disposal, water discharge).
  • Conducting incident investigations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Leading EHSS training and safety initiatives.
  • Assisting HR with workers compensation claims and OSHA record keeping.
  • Performing safety inspections, noise level readings, and other assessments.
  • Developing safety procedures, conducting audits, and leading risk assessments.
  • Working with vendors to ensure safe practices and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety or a related field, preferred.
  • 5+ years in safety roles within metal fabrication manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance.
  • Understanding of ISO 14001, preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
