**Summary**

The Sales Director is responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development activities including identifying sales opportunities, establishing and driving sales direction, maintaining market competitiveness, pricing and profitability and serves as the front-line contact and facilitator of SUNations strategic direction of our Service Sales division. This position executes key business building initiatives to achieve assigned volume and profit expectations, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, mentoring, training, and managing our Service Sales Reps.

**Responsibilities:**

- **Define and achieve sales goals for the SUNation**

* Establish and achieve performance goals for the sales team

* Develop and implement a strategic Sales plan to achieve sales goals

* Based on the market and outside influences, identify and quantify new sales and market opportunities, product initiatives, sales opportunities and applications for new and existing customer

* Capitalize on existing customers and projected opportunities and develop a strategic sales plan to accomplish objectives with a focus on profitability

* Lead weekly pricing discussions to ensure accurate proposals and deal flow

* Lead business planning sessions to insulate existing business and develop volume building activities.

* Establish and measure performance against established baseline and goals

* Analyze sales and market data to determine future direction of sales efforts

* Develop and maintain accurate records including sales calls in salesforce.com database, input for volume forecasting and status and activity of overall business

* Launch new products and services

* Develop and nurture relationships with customers to maintain loyalty and enhance the companys competitive edge

- **Develop and deliver proposals for the SUNation product line**

* Responsible for a focus on profitability

* Participate in the development of new project proposals

* Prepare proposals and close sale

- **Add sales value to the marketing function**

* Identify and represent SUNation at various industry events including tradeshows, marketing seminars, networking events and sales meetings

- **Follow through on all sales initiatives from sale to delivery**

* Proactively communicate with and coordinate across Supply Chain, Installation, Customer Service and other departments to ensure deliverables are met and customers are satisfied

- **Manage the Sales Team**

* Manage Sales Team with respect to strategic and proactive hiring, performance management, disciplinary action and termination of employment.

* Identify and provide coaching, mentoring and training to increase sales, enhance employee professional development and add value to the company.

* Build our current Service Sales team from 2 to 5+ sales reps selling solar system products and Services to property owners in the Suffolk , Nassau, Queens , Brooklyn , Staten Island areas.

* Maintain and develop relationships with builders and other strategic alliances within the business community to leverage the benefits of SUNation Service for their properties.

* Train and coach your sales reps to prospect individuals in effort to win their business.

* Review and evaluate competitive data, and all other reports and/or records relevant to management of the sales reps.

* Participate in business planning sessions, marketing seminars and other trade shows to insulate existing business and develop volume building activities

* Ensure profitability levels on all deals

* Establish and monitor staff performance objectives with reference to sales results, quality, cost effectiveness, and time schedules

* Leads, with approval of the Executive Committee, the establishment of the pricing models and policies for the products and services of SUNation

* Strive to improve the competitive position of the company while ensuring effective client relations

* Work with the CGO and others to negotiate all contracts for products and services with SUNation clients

* Coordinate sales activities with solar vendors and other business partners

* Interact with prospective clients, multi-building organizations, energy system vendors, software distributors, and professional and trade organizations in performing the duties of the position

* Coordinate with other staff to foster a team effort towards the attainment of corporate goals.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree with emphasis in business, marketing, sciences and/or renewable energy

* 5 years management experience

* Computer literacy and utilization of programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word and Salesforce.

* Professional appearance.

* Ability to communicate in English using correct grammar

* Bi-Lingual a plus

* Ability to communicate and present analytics related to role

* A valid drivers license

* A willingness to learn.

* Strong organizational skills.

* Sales management experience in the construction, solar and finance industries

* A proven performance record in sales.

**Preferred Skills:**

* Prior Residential sales experience

* Working knowledge of Salesforce

* Prior solar experience

* Knowledge of Traction / EOS

**Miscellaneous:**

* Perform other related duties as assigned.
