The Treasury Management Officer (STMO) is responsible for collaborating with branches within their designated footprint to identify, analyze, sell, and support treasury/cash management products and services to business clients and targeted prospective candidates, all while striving to meet monthly call and growth goals. Position plays a leadership role in promoting treasury/cash management products and services, both internally and externally. Works both independently and in conjunction with the lending and branch operations teams to meet with clients and prospects providing cash management knowledge and expertise to support our client relationships, resulting in the offering of innovative cash management solutions that will enhance the bank's relationship with the client. Also works with various "referral" partners (COI's - centers of influence) in presenting our products and services to keep these resources informed of our offerings and works to establish them as an active resource for new referrals. The TMO is also responsible for acquiring and building fee income and deposits via strategic alliance and relationship building, effective consultation and product innovation to help our business customers to optimize their working capital with end-to-end treasury management and digital solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for driving top financial performance, client service & prospecting excellence to ensure the department and supported branches meet service level and organizational goals as related to Treasury Management, all while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance the client experience with a focus on bringing the entire bank to the client by presenting the full range of our products and services that will be of use to the customer.
  • Responsible to lead and work with Commercial and SBA officers along with branch leadership to ensure that the bank is driving new business and financial performance.
  • Responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining other high-performance talent to TMO roles as they are added across the bank's footprint.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing to build marketing collateral and consultation tools using PowerPoint, the Fiserv Precision database, and other appropriate resources within the bank and other key programs for the bank. Collaborate and work closely with the Bank's Officers and other functional areas.
  • Build and deploy sales campaigns to drive fee income and deposit revenue for the bank through proactive promotion of cash management services. Partners with key stakeholders including sales, marketing, digital channel delivery, and other internal service partners to execute Treasury Management outreach campaigns.
  • Lead activities with external stakeholders and clients to ensure all product offerings meet their strategic goals. Develops product-specific marketing initiatives. Supports risk management, compliance, and audit needs as part of the first line of defense.
  • Responsible for end-to-end business and financial results for multi-faceted, complex products through the selection, design, development, and promotion of new and existing products utilizing traditional and emerging capabilities in technology, operations, and data analytics to offer customers a differentiated product experience.
  • Drives business, financial, and customer experience results of new and existing products and recommends modifications in product features and/or marketing to improve results.
  • Manages risk/return and drives quality for new and/or existing clients. Actively identifies and mitigates different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks.
  • Support customers and team in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
  • Provide best practices and guidance with treasury management, deposit, and onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with key members of operations staff, both in branch and behind the scenes, to ensure fulfillment, onboarding, training, and billing are client centric with a streamlined approach.
  • Participate in community and business functions/groups to provide a positive image for the bank within the marketplace.
  • Be viewed as the bank's Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding Treasury Management Products and Services and be considered a valuable resource and an integral part of HRT's across the branch network.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Business Acumen - Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Business Development - Knowledge of prospecting principles, processes, and skills; ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market, as well as to build on existing business relationships within the bank. Plan, strategize and target the right industries/businesses that are a good fit for the bank. Create value propositions with impact.
  • Selling - Apply knowledge of banking products and services to meet customer needs and enable them to achieve their financial goals. Identify prospecting approaches to identify potential customers and create opportunities to provide financial solutions and ideas to prospects and existing customers, according to the needs that have been uncovered during consultation.
  • Risk Management - Strong acumen with regard to risk mitigation management and well versed with compliance, regulatory requirements, NACHA, BSA and AML; adhere to and support the bank's enterprise risk management program as it relates to cash management products and services.
  • Collaboration - Knowledge and ability to promote a culture of information sharing and working together to solve business problems and meet business goals. Effective team leadership skills that allows for the management of a broad spectrum of personalities, both internal and external to the bank.
  • Problem Solving - Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in diverse circumstances.
  • Innovation - Develops new ideas and initiatives that improve the performance of the organization, especially as it relates to the cash management program for the bank. Knowledge of and ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for product innovation and design.
  • Solutions Development - Knowledge of and the ability to assess customer needs and provide solutions for them in a clear and timely manner.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business administration preferred; or an equivalent amount of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' direct experience in Treasury management sales and/ or product management.
  • 3 or more years' experience in an operational and/or branch environment
ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs. (e.g., file boxes)
  • Must be able to sit/stand 90% of the time, bend, and stoop
  • Requires ability to use the keyboard for up to 8 hours
  • Travel will be required
