Title: Collections Specialist - Follow Up- Patient Accounts

Location: Maury Regional Medical Center - Columbia, TN

Position Shift: Full Time - Columbia, TN

Position Summary:

The Collection Specialist is responsible for daily follow up on paper and electronic claims including resolution of any billing errors, claims resubmission, or escalation. Ensuring that patient accounts are properly and completely documented with Insurance information and all other pertinent information. Escalation of payor issues to management for various payors. Establish and maintain online resources used in handling claims.

Credentials / Education:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

* 2 Years Related Experience in a Medical or Hospital Setting Preferred

1 Year of Health Insurance Working Knowledge Required
