Position Summary:
Veros is looking for an experienced, full stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team. As a full stack software engineer, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Veros products and services. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the quality and successful delivery of the products through adherence to software engineering principles and best practices. This position requires the ability to work independently, while collaborating as a member of an Agile team, where trust and integrity are key to successful delivery of quality software.
Principal Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Veros applications and services
Provide Production support of Veros applications and services
Revise, update, refactor, and debug existing code
Write unit tests
Document the code to communicate to other developers clearly
Collaborate closely with team members to produce quality software
Participate in requirements analysis and product/sprint refinements
Participate in code reviews, product increment demos, and team retrospectives
Assist team members in transforming and maintaining a high-integrity, agile engineering organization
Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management
Qualifications and Requirements:
B.S. degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering
3 years in software development, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
3 years of web application development utilizing Microsoft technologies (.NET CORE ASP.NET, C#)
Experience in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues effectively
Write stable, maintainable, and testable code while keeping security in mind
Comprehensive, working knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns (MVC, GoF), practices and procedures in professional software development
Experience with Front End development using ASP.NET Razor Pages, HTML, CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, and JavaScript
Experience developing and integrating web services and APIs (SOAP / REST)
Familiarity with microservices implementation and testing
Working knowledge of database technologies (preferably Oracle and PL/SQL)
Experience with Subversion, Git and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
Experience with Agile Scrum framework
Familiarity with cloud technologies, managed services, cloud deployments, and containers (Docker/Kubernetes) a plus
