Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic Software Development team. This role is pivotal in collaborating with IT and management to establish, implement, and uphold best practices in QA and security for our application development processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and rectify inefficiencies in application quality setups and workflows, implementing effective solutions.
- Develop and enforce standardized QA practices within the IT team, ensuring thorough testing for quality and security prior to application releases.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and peer review checklists for code deployments.
- Conduct various types of software testing, including UI, UX, security, unit, integration, and performance testing, utilizing appropriate software testing tools.
- Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines that automate quality and security testing, incorporating Static Application Security Testing (SAST), unit tests, integration tests, and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
- Assist in updating security and QA-related software to the latest stable versions.
- Maintain accurate software documentation to ensure compliance and completeness.
- Provide support and guidance to FSSI employees regarding software QA practices.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing Application Development QA.

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in Software Development testing, Application Security, or DevOps are advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a related role focused on enhancing quality processes within a software development environment.
- Proficient in creating, designing, and implementing test scripts.
- Experience in testing and executing source code and applications using software testing tools.
- Familiarity with Software Development or DevOps teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps and QA software, including CI/CD, centralized logging, and automation tools.
- Ability to create CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar DevOps software.
- In-depth understanding of programming principles, including knowledge of programming languages (C# preferred), software development methodologies, and platforms.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Git best practices.

Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle and feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crawl. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision required by this job includes close, distant, and peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
