Job Summary:

As a Senior Solution Specialist, you will create and execute on a go to market plan for your assigned Vendor, Microsoft. You will collaborate with alliances, practice leaders and vendors to create the assets, communication plans and information necessary for our clients to adopt Microsoft Solutions. 

Essential Functions:

  • The Senior Solution Specialist will establish the go to market plan and financial performance metrics for Microsoft.
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Collaborate with alliances, executive leadership and practice leaders to develop short term growth and long-term strategy.
    • Develop and foster vendor relationships. Align practice leaders, regional sales leaders and solution specialist with their vendor counterparts.
    • Take ownership of partner related escalations and issues in cooperation with internal Converge departments.
    • Establish financials targets and budget. Document resource strategy and investments needed to hit financial targets.
    • Create short term activities to establish value of Microsoft offering to clients, client executives and solution specialist.
    • Identify market opportunity, client personas and client messaging.  Work with Marketing to create assets.
      • Working with Alliances to document and communicate partner program, certifications, incentives.
    • Document pricing programs, process and how client executives make money.
    • Collaborate SalesOps as necessary for operational support.
    • Identify and develop Microsoft managed services opportunities.
    • Drive overall Microsoft revenue and GP growth goals, provide updated sales pipelines, order tracking, open opportunities, and partner programs/promotions.
    • Enable Converge sellers to identify opportunities by driving awareness of new product package and programs.
    • Ensure alignment across North America Converge regions. 
    • Partner internally with key stakeholders across the organization, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance to ensure our growth strategies are well aligned with Vendor.
    • Drive visibility and focus on webinars, joint selling initiatives, & enablement sessions
    • Work with Converge Marketing to develop sales collateral, marketing, PR etc. related to partner.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Strong cross-group collaboration to drive alignment and teamwork within the partners’ and Converge’s teams.
  • Must possess ability to articulate Converge practices to our partners.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Offerings,value proposition and solutions.
  • Excellent pipeline development (channel or direct) and management skills, with proven success in delivering go-to-market strategies and results.
  • Excellent communication skills with solid experience in presenting and delivering key messages to internal and external senior executives and other audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.
  • Vendor/Client-oriented, professional services mind-set.
  • C-Level engagement capability.
  • Attendance at relevant industry conferences.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
