Position Overview:

This is a full-time and permanent opportunity with Converge Technology Solutions. As the AWS Marketplace Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our AWS Marketplace Managed Services and Professional Services offerings. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, client-facing skills, and the ability to spearhead cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess experience in crafting AWS Marketplace solutions that integrate traditional data center offerings or ISV solutions with partner-managed or professional services.

Your primary focus will be on creating cross-practice managed SaaS and professional services listings while driving technical engagements and architectural solutions to attract new clients through the AWS Marketplace. In collaboration with the AWS Partner Sales leader and AWS Consulting Architect, you will engage with the Office of the CTO, Alliances, and Converge Practice leaders to provide strategic guidance, technical insight, and thought leadership to enhance the growth and success of the company's AWS Marketplace offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Act as the technical authority for AWS Marketplace initiatives, offering architectural direction and best practices.
  • Oversee the technical facets of customer and partner onboarding, ensuring effective deployment and integration of solutions within AWS Marketplace.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, whitepapers, and reference architectures.

Client and Partner Collaboration:

  • Engage with clients to comprehend their business needs and deliver customized AWS Marketplace solutions.
  • Work closely with partners to incorporate their products into AWS Marketplace, ensuring compatibility and peak performance.
  • Facilitate technical workshops, webinars, and training sessions for clients and internal sales teams.

Solution Innovation:

  • Design and execute proof-of-concept projects, prototypes, and demonstrations to highlight AWS Marketplace MSP Solutions.
  • Develop and enhance solution blueprints that address prevalent client challenges and use cases.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape the AWS Marketplace roadmap based on client feedback and emerging trends.

Cross-Functional Engagement:

  • Partner with sales, marketing, and business development teams to support go-to-market strategies and client acquisition efforts.
  • Collaborate with AWS service teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of Marketplace solutions.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to represent AWS Marketplace and share technical insights.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

  • Stay informed about the latest AWS services, marketplace trends, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and scalability within the AWS Marketplace ecosystem.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation by promoting experimentation and new ideas within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud computing and/or consulting services roles involving multi-vendor solutions and architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership capacity, ideally within a cloud marketplace or similar setting.
  • Proficient in designing across multiple technology domains, including cloud computing, data analytics, networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise software.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with automation and DevOps tools, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • Strong leadership and partnership abilities, with a proven track record of collaboration with other technical leaders in the organization.
  • Extensive experience in technical leadership roles, preferably in a services or consulting environment.
  • Significant experience in creating Statements of Work (SOWs) for multi-vendor, multi-discipline solutions.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, public cloud providers, and internal teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with marketplace platforms and SaaS models.
  • Familiarity with foundational AWS services.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or similar certification is highly desirable.
