The Quality Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and support of several Quality related activities. These responsibilities include managing and tracking the disposition of RMA's and returned product, off-site storage of required quality and manufacturing documentation, and document control administration and routings. In addition to the above, this individual will support the Corrective Action (CAR) process by providing assistance in investigating potential and/or actual sources of defects (identified by customer complaints or internal monitoring), containing affected products, obtaining archived production history (both electronic and hardcopy), and assisting process owners with root cause identification and corrective action. The Quality Coordinator will also perform audits of production processes, incoming material COA's, and work-in-process, to ensure consistent practices and process discipline. The Quality Coordinator will also support the ISO 9001 internal audit program, including performing audits and writing reports of findings. The Quality Coordinator will be working closely with engineers, managers, and associates across multiple departments, and will need to communicate professionally, both oral and written, in all of their activities.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and evaluate material returned through the RMA process. This includes the monitoring of NCMIRs related to product returns to ensure closure of all action items.
  • Administer the controlled document system, including verification of submitted documents to
    procedures, and approval routings.
  • Perform audits of production processes, finished product, COA's, and work-in-process to ensure consistent practices and process discipline.
  • Complete evaluation/documentation; provide objective concise quality assessments; present results to Quality Manager; provide feedback to team leaders and managers.
  • Investigate potential and/or actual sources of defects identified by customer complaints or internal monitoring.
  • Assist in product containment and segregation activities.
  • Utilize electronic systems and hardcopy filing systems to obtain historical production records to support corrective actions.
  • Assist process owners with root cause identification and corrective action.
  • Perform ISO 9001-based internal audits and create associated reports.
  • Participate in monthly team performance meetings.
  • Lead special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager and Quality Director.
  • Participate in special project teams and execution of such projects to improve current processes.
  • Compile data and metrics for monthly Quality Report and department meetings.
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.

Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of working experience in manufacturing related industries.
  • Proficient user of MS Office applications.
  • Available to work beyond 5:00 pm as needed.
  • Previous quality auditing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with Oracle preferred, but not required.
