Senior Accountant

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for our client's organization. This position will be responsible for various accounting functions including month-end closing, investment accounting, regulatory reporting, and supporting the finance team in financial analysis and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing month-end closing activities such as preparation of income statements, balance sheets, consolidated statements, and management reports.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly investment accounting functions including posting investment transactions and maintaining proper documentation.
- Update and reconcile the loan analytics tool (nCino) on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the model. Run reports, balance records, and maintain ACL schedules.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for ALM (Asset Liability Management) and ProfitStar analysis by reconciling and submitting monthly files.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of regulatory agency and governmental reports such as the call report, Federal Reserve FR 2900 Report, and Business Property Tax Return.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely information as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
- Five to eight years of experience in similar or related accounting roles, preferably in the financial services or banking industry.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, for financial analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
