Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at Bambee, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for working with our controller to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to support management decision-making and external reporting requirements.
- Oversee the reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic initiatives and business growth objectives.
- Provide financial insights and efficiency recommendations to senior management based on thorough analysis of financial data and current processes.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to our current accounting toolset
- Streamline and automate the accounting process by looking into new tools the company can use to streamline processes and make them more efficient
- Manage commision payments for the revenue and sales organization
- Create systems of organization to ensure clear and concise, well communicated AP payment schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms preferred.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
