This role will be responsible for supporting month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and assisting with pulling reports for the monthly claims process. Focus:
Collaborate with external tax advisors to manage tax filings, including quarterly payments, extensions, and returns.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by providing necessary information to federal, state, and local authorities.
Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries.
Support the monthly claims process by pulling and reviewing relevant financial reports.
Work with outside professionals to resolve tax notices and other issues as needed.
Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as directed by management.
Skill Set:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
5+ years of accounting experience
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Knowledge of GAAP and typical internal controls.
Experience with major ERPs and accounting software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills; strong attention to detail and process.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously – possess strong organizational skills and time management skills.
