Senior Accountant

We have partnered with a non-profit organization dedicated to support families and children. The team is seeking a Senior Accountant who will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will oversee various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger system, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice processing, and collections.
  • Coordinate payroll processing activities, including payroll tax filings and reconciliations.
  • Conduct variance analysis and performance metrics reporting to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Workday experience is a must
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
