Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Temporary Learning Specialist/Coach. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices (Austin; Boston; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County, Portland, Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica, Seattle, Washington DC or Wheeling, WV) and consideration given for 100% remote US locations.
The Temporary Learning Specialist/Coach will:
- Coach individuals and small groups on technology skills including Microsoft Office products and legal-specific software
- Design and develop printable and electronic-based courseware and other training materials
- Liaise between departments and learners, often working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and project teams
Responsibilities
- Deliver remote one-on-one and small group coaching - conduct a quick needs assessment and tailor content to the individual(s) workflow.
- Deliver demo-style training and interactive training modules.
- Develop interactive learning programs, elearnings, supporting courseware and communications for technology-based and talent development initiatives.
- Develop proficient knowledge of core applications and an overview understanding of additional applications as used in the legal environment.
- Provide feedback on any areas for program improvements.
- Role may expand to include:

- Work with project teams to identify, evaluate and test updates and new applications.
- Some travel (up to 10%) in support of training initiatives may be required.
- Two to five years related experience.
- Experience developing and delivering interactive learning programs.
- Strong independent work ethic with excellent judgment and diplomacy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Fluency in a European office languages (French, German or Italian) a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze and write business correspondence and technical documentation.
- Effective presentation and communication skills for management and colleagues.
- Flexibility with work hours to meet business needs.
- Willingness to undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is:
- California Major Markets* $31.79 to $40.51 per hour
- New York City $34.06 to $43.40 per hour
- National $30.25 to $40.65 per hour
* California Major Markets includes San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica. All other California locations fall within National range.
This is a short-term, temporary position. Our temporary team members are eligible for paid sick leave where required by location.
