The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization that currently supports 200 staff working in 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs with a large geographic footprint. We are dedicated to providing a safe, fun environment for children 6 weeks through 18 years old. As our Grant/GL Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our financial resources are managed effectively, allowing us to continue our mission-driven work. Duties • Financial Stewardship: Manage all financial aspects of grants (expense coding, allocations, revenue recording), ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies. You will be our resident expert • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate financial reports for internal stakeholders and funding agencies, offering valuable insights into financial performance. • Collaboration: Work closely with program managers and development teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and programmatic objectives. • Plus: you will be an integral part of a small accounting team helping with general ledger tasks like monthly journal entries, and reconciliations, and participating in the monthly close and the year-end audits (Single & Financial). You will also provide backup for our payroll processor. Requirements • Experience: 3-5 years experience in grant accounting and general ledger accounting, ideally within the nonprofit sector. • Skills: Strong accounting background with extensive Excel experience using large datasets (VLookups & Pivot Tables) for analytical tasks. Experience with Community Brands MIP & ADP Workforce is preferred. • Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments: development, program staff, and other administrative personnel. • Passion: A commitment to our organization's mission and values, with a desire to make a positive impact.
