SUMMARY

The People & Culture Coordinator supports the Museum's human resources programs with an emphasis in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, training, and ensuring the promotion of the museum's engagement initiatives and events. This role serves as a key liaison between the People & Culture department and the museum's staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works closely with hiring managers through all phases of recruitment process to ensure successful hires.
  • Ensures proper implementation and usage of ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Advertise job openings, ensure approval prior to job postings, screenings, interviewing, offer letter preparation, background check, drug screening, orientation, and onboarding.
  • Ensure new hires have proper system access and equipment available on their first day of employment.
  • Forms close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations.
  • Assists in recruiting via various recruiting websites and create relationships with local organizations.
  • Conducts onboarding processes and is a key player in properly orienting and welcoming new hires to the organization.
  • Ensures that job descriptions are up-to date.
  • Creates training schedules and coordinates for CPR certifications and other training requirements for all applicable departments.
  • Assist in the implementation of employee training programs and workshops.
  • Organizes and coordinates employee engagement activities.
  • Proactively anticipates the needs of the People & Culture Department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or at (2) years' experience in a similar capacity required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong MS Office skills required. Must be very comfortable using Excel.
  • An enthusiastic, forward-thinking individual, possessing a strong work ethic and high initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with high levels of attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; collaborative, team player.
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit and is inclusive in the day-to-day interactions.
