Position Overview: Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Applications, whose primary focus is providing innovative reference designs for the fast-growing electric vehicle and energy markets. This market needs high voltage-high power converters using LLC, phase shift full bridge, and totem pole PFC topologies. Innovation in topologies and techniques is encouraged. The group is designing cutting-edge GaN and SiC power switch solutions to power these converters. The team consists of talented applications engineers with advanced degrees and published papers in power electronics. Responsibilities will include:
  • Working on application circuits of high voltage, high power converters
  • Developing demo boards for power products
  • Performing thorough new product evaluations
  • Developing design/simulation tools/circuits
  • Technical writing, presentations, and trainings
Required Skills: The ideal candidate will have the following requirements:
  • MSEE or PHD
  • 5+year experience with power converter (switching power supplies) designs
  • Strong background in analog circuits, power electronics, and power systems.
  • Interest in DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion and knowledge of power conversion topologies.
  • Strong background in digital controller coding for power converters.
  • Strong analytic skills along with power system modeling and control loop design.
  • Familiar with circuit design/simulation tools and lab equipment.
  • Good technical writing and presentation skills
  • Must possess good communication skills and have the ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
