Position Overview: The role of Senior Engineer, Product Applications is pivotal in supporting automotive strategic partners with an innovative array of serializer/deserializer (SERDES) solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to automotive partners regarding cutting-edge SERDES solutions.
  • Identify customer requirements and opportunities, proposing comprehensive system solutions while assisting in design-in efforts.
  • Collaborate with System-on-Chip/Field Programmable Gate Array (SoC/FPGA) architects to develop serial link solutions for high-bandwidth data connectivity, including cameras, displays, and data converters.
  • Implement SERDES technology in conjunction with design and applications teams.
  • Create detailed design documentation and troubleshoot system design and component-level failures.
  • Conduct SERDES-level debugging and address related component issues.
  • Write and debug C/C++ code for systems software integration.
  • Facilitate SoC/FPGA integration with SERDES IP blocks.
  • Effectively communicate and present technical topics to stakeholders.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of partial telecommuting (2 days WFH).

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline (foreign education equivalent accepted) with two (2) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a related field focusing on post-silicon validation using shell and Python scripts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing reference designs for high-speed serial links (SerDes) and implementing eye diagram capturing capabilities for automotive industry partners.
  • Experience in engaging with strategic partners to comprehend their visions for next-generation automotive infotainment systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
  • Proficiency in developing prototypes involving serializers (Ser) and deserializers (Des) for Display Port (DP) output on Electronic Control Units, along with automotive SERDES applications and equalization techniques.
  • Ability to provide partners with appropriate firmware for customized hardware leveraging high-speed circuit knowledge and firmware programming skills.
  • Experience in writing Linux kernel drivers and diagnostic software for high-speed SERDES interfaces.

Compensation: Salary range is $126,000 to $184,920.00 per year.

Additional Information: This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus based on personal and company performance factors. It includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, along with other benefits.
