Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and nurture a skilled team of application engineers to achieve their full potential.
  • Oversee and optimize the evaluation process of prototype silicon, including conducting electro-optical assessments.
  • Create and refine product documentation such as datasheets, evaluation boards, and software tools.
  • Deliver technical assistance to both internal teams and external clients, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to define new product specifications and features.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams on innovative projects and advancements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading teams focused on IC Applications.
  • Proficient in measuring RFICs exceeding 20GHz.
  • Familiarity with RF board design and layout methodologies.
  • Experience in developing IC product documentation and collateral.
  • Knowledge of measurement automation using Python, C, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience in providing technical support to customers.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic communication systems and optical/electrical components.
  • Experience in defining IC products is advantageous.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to conduct hands-on RFIC measurements.
  • Solid understanding of S-parameters, transmission line structures, and RF PCB design principles.
  • Basic programming skills in Python, C, or related languages.
  • Familiarity with IM-DD PAM4 and coherent communication systems, along with signal processing knowledge, is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of microcontroller, DSP, and/or FPGA programming is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Self-driven with a knack for innovative problem-solving.
Work Environment
  • The job grade for this position will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
  • This role typically involves a 40-hour work week with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement (minimum of 3 days on-site).
  • Must be adept at managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
