As a Supervisory Immigration Services Officer, you will supervise, adjust priorities, plan work and evaluate staff that interpret, apply, and enforce the Immigration and Nationality Act; make discretionary determinations; and conduct independent research in the adjudication of humanitarian immigration applications. Responsibilities Serve as a Supervisory Immigration Services Officer within Refugee and International Operations (RIO), International Operations (IOP) domestic office to provide and oversee efficient delivery of humanitarian immigration benefits and other services. Supervise and evaluate staff that make determinations on requests for humanitarian immigration benefits. Assign work and conduct supervisory reviews to ensure that benefits and services are being granted appropriately and that quality adjudications and administrative processing is achieved and maintained. Advise and plan work to be completed by subordinates, set and adjust short and long-term training priorities, and set target dates for work completion based on priorities and complexity of work assignments. Identify developing training needs of employees; provide or arrange for needed development and training; and/or identify ways to improve productivity, promote team building, and improve operational practices. Prepare plans, reports, and analyses of operations to include reviewing individual and program performance and taking action to ensure compliance with established procedures goals, standards, and objectives. Represent the district, division, directorate and agency in various capacities to promote the agency's mission.
