This self-motivated individual will work with all levels of management and staff to perform challenging structural and construction administration projects. Ideal candidates will have experience with a wide variety of fire protection project types to include; fire life safety, building, and fire code compliance. Daily Duties/Tasks Apply fire protection engineering principals and practices to assignments Work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver designs Coordinate with clients and peers Review all work for completeness and accuracy Exchange and archive milestone submittals Create project record drawings Primary Responsibilities Perform preliminary and detailed analysis for the design of fire protection projects Prepare studies, design reports, engineering plans, and construction specifications Evaluate alternative approaches and address technical inquiries Provide consultation for life safety, building, and fire code compliance Provide engineering support for construction projects on an as-needed basis Organize, draft and coordinate production of reports for technical consistency Stay informed of evolving standards and software innovations Experience B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related engineering fields 5 to 10 yrs of experience working on fire protection related engineering projects Existing professional registration or ability to obtain within 3-6 months Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design software Ability to exercise judgement and discretion Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic Ability to deliver ongoing education and support to Revit project teams Ability to meet critical deadlines Possess a strong work ethic and conduct operations with integrity Punctuality and occasional travel Health, Vision, and Dental insurance Paid time off – 6 weeks per year Retirement 401k – 3% contribution by employer Bonus pay up to $17,500 per year Application Process Please send resume and cover letter to Adam Goddin, CEO at careers@gdm-ae.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
