This position will be 80% on-site in Nashville, TN
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Onsite Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' network infrastructure, focusing on a wide range of Cisco products and solutions. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain network operations to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cisco products, including security, Unified Communications (UC), Routing and Switching (RT/SW), wireless, Webex, and Catalyst Center.
Collaborate with customers to understand their network requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Perform regular network assessments and audits to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
Implement and manage network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
Assist in the deployment and configuration of new network hardware and software.
Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps to maintain accurate records.
Provide training and support to customers on the use and management of Cisco products.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and Cisco product updates to ensure the highest level of service.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in network operations and support, preferably with a focus on Cisco products.
Strong knowledge of Cisco security, Unified Communications, Routing and Switching, wireless technologies, Webex, and Catalyst Center.
Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to be onsite in Nashville, TN, and travel to customer locations as needed.
