Business Intelligence Specialist

Customer Onboarding and Training:
- Provide comprehensive training and support for the McLeod Business Intelligence product and front-end BI tools, focusing on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI.
- Conduct training sessions on-site (2-3 days) or remotely via Teams.
- Emphasize understanding McLeod's models and teaching general analytical skills through BI programs.
- Collaborate with customers to define and document custom requirements for McLeod IQ.
- Work with McLeod IQ analysts or developers to create functional specifications for customizations.
- Develop custom reports using Power Query and back-end warehousing as needed.
- Ensure customer review and approval of specifications and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Address customer inquiries and provide product information, work order status updates, and general support via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and courteously.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations and foster loyalty and retention.
- Assist in developing McLeod IQ training documentation and videos.
- Document processes and contribute to the reporting template repository.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on BI tools and best practices.
- Empower users to leverage BI capabilities for extracting valuable data insights.
- Ability to travel approximately 30%.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI for report building and data analytics (knowledge of Tableau, Qlik, Microsoft SSRS, and other BI tools is a plus).
- Customer service and training experience are preferred.
- Preferred but not required: Experience in the transportation industry and familiarity with McLeod's LoadMaster and PowerBroker products.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance/Accounting, Logistics, or Data Science is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence role or Customer Service role preferred.
