Front Desk Night Supervisor

- Responsible for overseeing the Hotel and Front Desk operations during the overnight shift.
- Assist in the training and providing technical direction to new Front Desk staff.
- Has extensive knowledge of Front Desk operations and assists coworkers with any questions they may have.
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome to guests as they arrive, creating a positive first impression.
- Always provided the highest level of overall customer service by enforcing 4-star standards. Goes above and beyond to make every guest feel special.
- Efficiently handles the check-in and check-out processes by verifying guest information, assigning rooms, and processing payments.
- Handles guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment. Maintains accurate and well organized records.
- Assist guests with room reservations, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel policies.
- Provide information about the hotel's services, amenities, casino offerings, and local attractions to help guests make the most of their stay.
- Respond promptly, pleasantly, and accurately to all customer questions or emergencies and immediately escalate any issues/concerns from customers to the appropriate person.
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to appropriate departments or guests' rooms.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees.
- Confirm guest satisfaction, close billing and issue receipts, and store luggage by lifting up to 25lbs.
- Leave guests with a lasting positive impression of the establishment as they depart.
- Communicate information between shifts to ensure job thoroughness to meet department objectives.
- Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Maintains alertness for all responsibilities and a general awareness of hotel and casino operation at all times. Takes appropriate action based on observations, as directed or as established by casino policy, procedures, or gaming rules and regulations. Keeps the Hotel Manager informed of any concerns.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Wears and maintains uniforms properly, including nametag and gaming license.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of hotel operations. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.Demonstrated experience in problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One (1) or more years of experience working as a Front Desk Clerk for a large upscale property or equivalent. Two (2) or more years of related customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or gaming environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must have good multitasking skills and excellent customer service skills. Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties primarily involve standing while completing paperwork or using a computer, and routine kneeling, squatting, bending, and crouching with standard breaks. Essential duties involve frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stretching, reaching, lifting, and pushing materials, supplies, and equipment. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds, and working a flexible workweek, including weekends and holidays, with overtime hours occasionally required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$23+ an hour based on experience
