WellSky is seeking a Sr Staff Accountant. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and administration function of WellSky to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger. The primary focus for the Sr. Staff Accountant is managing and performing various accounting processes, technical accounting and completion of ad-hoc projects.

A day in the life

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining selected general ledger accounts and ensuring assigned balance sheet and key income statement accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
  • Completing technical accounting calculations such as software development capitalization, deferred contract costs and right of use assets
  • Integrating various accounting functions associated with the integration of recently acquired businesses
  • Executing the monthly close process in accordance with WellSky's policies
  • Driving process improvement by leveraging ERP system
  • Assisting external auditors with audit requests, preparing various audit schedules, and resolving any issues identified during the testing procedures
  • Working on ad-hoc and technical accounting-related projects

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 4-6 years related work experience or 2-3 years' experience from a Big Four global accounting firm
Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle software
  • Experience with Capitalize software
