About the Role

This Corporate Accountant position at Watco supports accounting functions at the corporate level. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and variance analysis for management review
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards
  • Assemble monthly and quarterly rollforward and reconciliation packages, providing detailed analysis and recommendations
  • Prepare standard and adjusting journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Effectively perform and communicate analysis on financial reports, schedules, accounts, and transactions, providing insights and recommendations
  • Develop, monitor, and update processes for improved accounting and operational functions, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP standards
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
